Jasion E-Bike is water-resistant, which means that the bike won't let water in easily. If you drive on a wet road, your bike will be fine. But if your battery is in puddles or your bike into water and the electric parts get wet, damage could occur. Rider Safety tip: It's pretty dangerous riding in the rain, so take care. If you do ride on wet surfaces, wipe off all the water on the surface of your board, especially the charging port, and do not charge your bike until it’s dry.FYI: warranty doesn't include water damage.

Best Practices
- Store your bike in a clean, dry place to avoid rust.
- Keep components tightened to the torque specifications listed in the Recommended Torque Values section of the user manual.
- Ensure the frame latch and handlebar latch are locked in place before riding.
- Clean and lubricate moving parts regularly.
- Clean your bike frame with a wet rag and low residue cleaner. After cleaning, lubricate where necessary.
- Ensure your bike tires are always inflated to a pressure within the recommended range printed on the tire sidewalls.
- Before each ride ensure all electrical wires are connected.
Inspect Regularly
- Inflate your tires to the pressure listed on the tire sidewall.
- Lubricate the chain until there is little noise from the drivetrain; we recommend using Tri-Flow chain lubrication.
- Check that all hardware is tightened to the torque specifications listed in the Recommended Torque Values section of our user manual.
- Check your brake pads for signs of wear and replace them if necessary.
- Check your bike’s shifting performance and adjust the derailleur if necessary.
- Clean the bike frame with a low-residue cleaner; we recommend using Simple Green. Use a rag to dry everything completely.
- Check spoke tension and adjust if necessary. The recommended spoke tension can be found in the Recommended Torque Values section of our user manual.
Chain
The chain is an essential part of your e-bike's drivetrain. Proper maintenance will keep it running smoothly:
1. Regularly clean the chain to remove dirt and debris.
2. Lubricate the chain with a suitable bicycle chain lubricant.
3. Check chain tension and adjust as necessary to ensure proper shifting and power transmission.
4. Replace the chain when it shows signs of wear to prevent damage to other drivetrain components.
Brake
Brakes are critical for your safety. Learn how to maintain and adjust them effectively:
1. Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary.
2. Adjust brake cable tension to ensure proper braking performance.
3. Check brake caliper alignment and adjust as needed.
4. Learn how to bleed hydraulic brakes if your e-bike is equipped with them.
Extended Battery Life
Best practices for extending the range and battery life:
1. Follow the best practices listed below to help extend your range and battery life.
2. Whenever possible, avoid applying full throttle when the bike has slowed to very low speeds, has stalled, or stopped.
3. Pedal to assist the motor when climbing hills and accelerating from a stop.
4. Reduce your power consumption whenever possible.
5. Do not climb hills steeper than 15% in grade.
6. Avoid sudden starts and stops.
7. Accelerate slowly.
Tire
Jasion recommends 45-60 PSI for the stock tires on the Jasion E-bike. Always stay within the manufacturer’s recommended air pressure range as listed on the tire sidewall.
It is critically important that proper air pressure is always maintained in pneumatic tires. Do not underinflate or overinflate your tires. Low pressure may result in loss of control, and overinflated tires may burst. Failure to always maintain the air pressure rating indicated on pneumatic tires may result in the tire and/or wheel failure.
Even tires equipped with built-in, flat-preventative tire liners, like those that come with bikes from Jasion, can and do get flats from punctures, pinches, impact, and other causes. When tire wear becomes evident or a flat tire is discovered, tires and/or tubes must be replaced before operating the bike or injury to operators and/or damage to your bike from heybike could occur.
When changing a tire or tube, ensure that all air pressure has been removed from the inner tube prior to removing the tire from the rim. Failure to remove all air pressure from the inner tube could result in serious injury.
Using aftermarket tires or inner tubes, not provided by Jasion may void your warranty, create an unsafe riding condition, or damage to your bike.
