If you own a Jasion X-Hunter or are setting one up for the first time, this guide covers the basics you need to know: how to turn the bike on, how the display settings work, how to charge and remove the battery, and what to check before each ride.
We’ve also included quick answers to common questions about PAS levels, charging time, manual access, and everyday use. That way, this page works both as a quick feature overview for new shoppers and as a practical user guide for current owners.

X-Hunter at a Glance
- Folding full-suspension e-bike
- 48V 13Ah removable battery
- 20" x 4" fat tires
- LCD display with pedal assist controls
Those core features are what make the X-Hunter stand out. It combines the storage convenience of a folding frame with the added comfort of full suspension, the traction of fat tires, and the everyday practicality of a removable battery and simple display controls.
X-Hunter Features and Riding Highlights
The Jasion X-Hunter is built for riders who want more capability than a basic folding e-bike. Its design brings together comfort, traction, portability, and utility in a package that works well for city streets, uneven pavement, gravel paths, and light off-road riding.
One of its most distinctive features is the Horst-link rear suspension system. Paired with front suspension, it helps the bike absorb vibration and repeated impacts more smoothly on broken pavement and mixed terrain. Compared with many folding e-bikes that rely mostly on wider tires for comfort, the X-Hunter offers a more cushioned and controlled ride feel.

The 20" x 4" fat tires are another major advantage. They help improve stability and grip across a wider range of surfaces, including pavement, packed dirt, gravel, sand, and other loose terrain. For riders who want a bike that feels more planted than a narrow-tire commuter, this setup is a big part of the appeal.
Up at the cockpit, the X-Hunter includes the features riders use most during everyday riding: an LCD display for ride data and settings, light control, a horn switch, and a throttle for quick starts and added support when needed. Front and rear disc brakes support stopping control, while the folding frame makes the bike easier to store in apartments, garages, RVs, or car trunks.
That overall combination is what gives the X-Hunter its identity. It is not just a folding e-bike, and it is not just a fat tire model. It is designed for riders who want a better balance of comfort, utility, and compact storage without giving up the more rugged ride feel of a larger all-terrain e-bike.
If you are comparing models, Jasion also offers the X-Hunter ST, a step-through alternative in the same family.

Getting the Basics Right: Positioning and Suspension
Once you know the bike’s key features, the next step is making sure it fits you properly. A good riding position improves comfort, makes pedaling feel more natural, and gives you better control on both smooth roads and rougher surfaces.
-
Seat Positioning
If your seat height is too low or too high, you may notice discomfort, reduced pedaling efficiency, or less confidence when stopping and starting. Adjust the seat based on your leg length and preferred riding posture. For more guidance, check this guide on what size e-bike you need.

How to Adjust the Suspension Fork

X-Hunter is equipped with an 80mm suspension fork that absorbs bumps and rough ground effectively. When riding on smoother roads, you can lock the suspension to make the front end feel more rigid and responsive.
Start-Up Guide
Before turning the bike on, make sure the battery is charged, correctly seated in the frame, and locked into the proper position. Taking a few seconds to check those basics helps prevent common start-up issues.
How to Turn On the JasionBike X-Hunter
To turn on the Jasion X-Hunter, first make sure the battery is installed correctly and the key is in the ON and locked position. Then press and hold the power button on the display until the screen lights up. Before riding, confirm your assist level, test the brakes, and make sure the seat, handlebar, and frame latch are secure.
Quick Start Checklist
-
Check the battery lock:
Make sure the key port is aligned with the ON position and the battery is locked to the frame. -
Adjust the seat and handlebar:
Set them to a comfortable height and confirm everything is tightened securely. -
Power on the bike:
Use the LCD control near the left grip and hold the power button until the display turns on. -
Turn on the light if needed:
A long press on the light button activates the headlight or trail light. -
Select pedal assist:
Use the “+” and “–” buttons to choose your assist level. -
Start in a safe setup:
Wear safety gear and begin in a lower assist level if you are still getting used to the bike. -
Use the throttle carefully:
The throttle can help with starts and quick acceleration, but it is best used with control, especially in tight spaces.
X-Hunter Battery Guide and Charging Basics
The removable battery is one of the X-Hunter’s most practical features. It makes indoor charging easier, helps with storage in shared spaces, and gives riders a more convenient day-to-day routine.
Battery Key Positions

There are three key positions for the battery. In Position 1, the battery is on and locked to the frame, which is the normal riding mode. Position 2 turns the battery off while keeping it locked in place. Position 3 unlocks the battery so you can remove it from the frame.
How to Remove the Battery
To remove the battery, turn the key to Position 3 and pull the battery out carefully. Avoid forcing it out at an angle, and support the battery with your hand as you remove it.
How to Charge the Jasion X-Hunter Battery
Before charging, make sure the battery is in the OFF position. Remove the rubber cover from the charging port and connect the charger. The LED light on the charger will turn red while charging and green when charging is complete. When charging is finished, unplug the charger from the wall first, then disconnect it from the battery.
How Long Does It Take to Charge the Jasion X-Hunter?
A normal full charge usually takes about 6.5 to 7 hours. For best results, charge the battery in a dry place and use the original charger.
Battery Charging Tips for Longer Life
Try not to leave the battery fully drained for long periods. After wet-weather riding, wipe the bike down and make sure the charging port is dry before plugging it in. If you charge the battery indoors after removing it from the bike, reinstall it carefully and confirm that it is locked in place before riding again.

Display Settings and Controls
The display is where you check assist level, battery status, and ride data, and it is also where you access the settings that affect everyday use. If you came here looking for Jasion X-Hunter settings or display instructions, this is the section to focus on.
How to Access Jasion X-Hunter Display Settings

To enter the settings menu, press and hold the “+” and “–” buttons at the same time. This opens the settings menu. Press “i” to confirm a change or move to the next setting. To exit, press and hold “i” again.
The display also lets you review ride data. In TC mode, you can control how trip data is handled, including whether you want it cleared automatically or manually.
Common Jasion X-Hunter Display Checks
The most useful display checks are PAS level setup, speed-related configuration, and trip data. Learning those basics makes the X-Hunter easier to use every day and helps you understand how the bike is currently configured.
Why Does the JasionBike X-Hunter Show 3 PAS Levels Instead of 5?
In most cases, the display is currently set to a 3-level pedal assist configuration instead of a 5-level setup. A 5-level setup gives finer control over assist, while a 3-level setup keeps things simpler. If you are unsure what your current display setup means, compare it with the official manual before changing anything.
Speed Settings: What Riders Should Know
Some riders look for speed-related settings when the bike does not appear to reach the expected assist speed. Before changing any display parameters, check the official manual and confirm your local e-bike regulations.
Video Walkthrough for Checking Speed-Related Settings
If your Jasion X-Hunter is not reaching the expected assisted speed, this video shows the speed-related setting some owners check first. Display configuration can vary by bike version, so compare what you see on your screen with the official manual before making any changes.
Because speed-related settings can intersect with local rules, it is also worth reviewing your local regulations. Jasion’s guide to California electric bike laws is a useful example of how class rules, speed rules, and riding access can vary.
Trip Data and Everyday Use
The display also helps with simple day-to-day checks such as battery level, trip distance, ride data, and assist level before you head out. These are basic functions, but learning them makes daily riding much easier.
Settings Chart: What to Check First
When people search for a settings chart, they are usually trying to confirm pedal assist behavior, review trip display options, or find the settings menu. The most useful checks are whether the bike is showing the expected assist levels, whether the trip data is behaving normally, and whether the display setup still matches how you want to ride.
JasionBike X-Hunter Factory Reset: What to Know First
If you are searching for a factory reset, review the manual first and avoid changing advanced settings unless you fully understand what they do. If you have already adjusted settings, note the current values before making more changes. If something still looks wrong, contact Jasion support.
Daily Care and Maintenance
Routine care helps keep the bike reliable and makes it easier to spot problems early. Because the X-Hunter is built for mixed-terrain riding, those checks matter even more if you ride on rough pavement, trails, or dusty surfaces.
Cleaning and Storage
Wipe the frame with a damp cloth for normal dirt and dust. For more stubborn grime, use gentle cleaning methods and avoid high-pressure sprays, which can force water into sensitive components. Store the bike in a cool, dry place whenever possible.
Battery Care
Use the original battery pack and charger. Check the casing and charging area regularly, and avoid using damaged accessories or off-brand parts that may affect safety or performance.
Daily Use Habits
If the battery runs low, recharge it promptly rather than leaving it empty for long periods. Check the brakes, tires, frame latch, and battery lock before each ride, especially if the bike has been folded, transported, or stored recently.
Wet-Weather Care
The bike is designed for everyday outdoor riding, but the charging port and electrical components should always be kept dry when charging. After riding in wet conditions, dry the bike and charging area before plugging it in, and avoid exposing the battery or electrical parts to standing water.

Would of been nice having a manual included. Very little information on folding up the bike.

I agree with someone the fact that not having a manual should come all bikes.
